Today our group met up and discussed what we really want to do for our scene. We decided to take the funny approach on the scene in Lysistrata where the women are trying to escape the citadel to have sex with their men and Lysistrata is trying to hold them back. We have a few ideas but I don’t feel like it is really put together yet. I think it is going to be super fun working on it with my group though. They are really funny and I like them a lot.

Today was the first day we had an actual rehearsal. We read through the script and I don’t have that many lines so I think i’ll be able to get them down in no time. The scene feels a little scattered and kind of hard to follow. Trying to figure out the placement of everyone to portray what we want is a little tough because right now it just seems like everyone is standing in a big blob. I’m really confused on what exactly is going on so i’m trying to put everything in my head.

Today was the second day of rehearsals. Things are coming together a little more now. We talked about the different emotions each of our characters should display. Eliy and Colby told me my character should be very sassy and angry. I think I will be able to play this role well. Practicing has been pretty fun. I am really enjoying this project with my group. They make it fun.

I pretty much have my lines down at this point. Our ideas of the play are really starting to pull together. I think there are still a lot of things we need to work on but I think it is going to turn out really well. I am understanding my role better now that I can match and emotion with her. Watching Connor and Keith act as females is HILARIOUS!

Today is the last day of rehearsals before thanksgiving break and then our performance is on the first day we get back. I am feeling really nervous about it. Connor is having trouble memorizing his lines, being that he has A LOT of them. Our play feels a little scattered but hopefully we will all work on memorizing our lines over the break and everything will pull together.

Well, today is the day. Our group met up at 9:00 this morning. It was really hard for me to wake up early so I was a little grumpy at first along with being super nervous, but me and Dakari went and grabbed some chick fil a from the student center which helped my nerves a little. We rehearsed ALL day and our play pulled together really well! I was super impressed with everyone’s hard work and dedication. We pulled off our performance really well. We had a few mistakes toward the end, but it was super funny! I am going to miss this class and my group so much. I always looked forward to this class because they made this so much fun! We all bonded so much. I never would’ve thought that this class would bring me some of my best friends but I will be forever thankful. TR3S ❤
